DISPENSING SET, COUNTERMEASURES CHAFF AN/ALE-41

Abstract: The equipment covered by this specification shall dispense chaff capable of producing confusing signals in radar or other electronic weapons systems.
The equipment covered by this specification shall consist of the following items:
Intended Use: The equipment specified herein is intended to be used in land/carrier based and rotary wing aircraft. The equipment shall provide the capability of dispensing countermeasures chaff immediately upon activation by the pilot/operator. Any portion of the equipment which is exposed to the exterior of the hull of the carrying aircraft shall be able to withstand landing, taxi and take-off operations without damage to the equipment or to the aircraft.
The equipment covered by this specification shall consist of the following items:
