The equipment covered by this specification shall consist of the following items: Applicable Item Type Designation Paragraph Dispensing Set AN/ALE-41 3.5.1 Control Indicator1 C-10004/ALE-41 3.5.2 Interconnect Cable Part No. 112678-500(W9) 3.5.2 Interconnecting Box1 J-3386/ALE-41 3.5.3 Intended Use: The equipment specified herein is intended to be used in land/carrier based and rotary wing aircraft. The equipment shall provide the capability of dispensing countermeasures chaff immediately upon activation by the pilot/operator. Any portion of the equipment which is exposed to the exterior of the hull of the carrying aircraft shall be able to withstand landing, taxi and take-off operations without damage to the equipment or to the aircraft. | |
