Abstract: The equipment covered by this specification shall be of one type and shall provide for the reception of signals from radio sonobuoys to provide sonobuoy homing and on-top position indicating when used in conjunction with direction finder equipment. Intended Use: This equipment will be used in Navy ASW aircraft to provide sonobuoy homing and on-top position indicating. It will serve the same purpose as Receiver, Radio R-1047A/A with 31 channels of radio frequency. These frequencies are spaced 375 kHz apart from 162.250 MHz to 173.500 MHz.
