LOADER, WEAPONS, AIR LAUNCHED, A/S32K-1D

Abstract: The specification covers an air launched weapons loader developed as part of the U.S. Marine Corps Expeditionary Airfield Program. The loader will be designated as Model A/S32K-1D and referred to as the second generation loader or the "loader." The following modifications are present in the loader:
a. A Diesel engine of increased horsepower.
b. A new hydrostatic propulsion system.
c. Improved hydraulic system.
d. A new power steering system.
e. Improved hydraulic fluid cooling capability.
f. Improved disc type brakes.
g. Improved actuating controls for lift system. Intended Use: The loader is designed specifically for transporting, loading, and unloading weapons and stores weighing up to 4500 pounds to and from the wing racks and centerline pylons of U.S. Marine Corps Tactical Aircraft. The loader will be operated on prepared surfaces such as concrete and asphalt.
