Abstract

This specification covers Mk 12, Mk 13, Mk 14, Mk 15, Mk 16 and Mk 18 Weapon Cradles, for shipping and storage of completely assembled weapons (less the removable aerodynamic control surfaces). The cradles are designed in multiple-round configurations (see <a>6.1</a>). <b><u>Intended Use:</u></b> The cradle type containers are intended to provide an improved capability for bulk handling of weapons during the logistics cycle with resulting greater handling and stowage efficiency on aircraft carriers. Also, the cradles will provide a level of environmental protection during stowage which has not previously been afforded air launched weapons.
