Abstract: This specification covers the general requirements for complete cable assemblies, with molded or attached plugs including any required built-in electronics, used in aircraft intracommunications and intercommunications systems. It covers cord sets for personal gear such as microphones, headsets, earphones, hand sets and similar equipment, and cable assemblies for contact with ground crew personnel.Intended Use: The cable assemblies covered by this specification are intended for use in military aircraft. They are military unique because they have to connect existing military communication sets with the pilot's earphones and microphones. There are no commercial equivalents or applications.
