Abstract: -This specification covers design, test and performance requirements for either GFE or CFE automatic control and stabilization systems for all U.S. Navy piloted aircraft. In the event of conflict between this specification and other referenced documents the requirements of this specification shall govern. The detail requirements for a particular system shall be as specified in the detailed specification, contract or purchase order for that system. (See 6. 2) Intended Use: The requirements of this specification are general as applicable to flight control systems and are based on service experience to date. Deviations to the requirements of this specification may be granted following presentation and approval of substantiating data. This specification Is Intended for use to incorporate by reference in the equipment detail specification or (when no specification is available) in the equipment contract or order.
