Abstract: This specification covers new straight sided, cylindrical-steel drums of 16 gallon, 30 gallon, and 120 pound grease capacities.Intended Use: Drums covered by this specification are intended fro use by the government or for the shipment of commodities purchased by the Government when prescribed in the applicable commodity specifications. These drums are single trip containers and may be used for level A, B, or C shipments of non-regulated materials. Drums, when used for shipment of regulated materials must meet the requirements of 49 CFR 170-180.
