The aim of this agreement is to standardize key technical data for those artillery and mortar systems and their ammunition which are currently in-service with NATO members. This STANAG supports STANAG 4425 in enabling assessment to be made of the degree of interchangeability existing between artillery and mortar system components by a comparison of form and fit.
