The aim of this agreement is to define the link layer formats, link layer protocols, block format, error protection, synchronisation procedure, signalling message formats and message handling procedures of the common signalling channel of the multiplex group which are necessary for interoperation between two NATO tactical digital communications systems via a gateway.
