Abstract: PURPOSE
The purpose of AOP-8 is to:
a. show to fuze designers and munition developers the characteristics of existing fuzes thus avoiding that fuze designers enter into a development effort to arrive at fuze characteristics already available. It is not intended to include in the AOP statements on full interchangeability of fuzes as to from, fit and function or to cover logistical aspects.
b. provide information on the conformance to safety standards of individual fuzes in accordance with STANAG 4157 and national safety standards.
