Abstract: EXTAC 1003, Replenishment at Sea, is designed for use by NATO nations when conducting exercises or operations with non-NATO navies. Areas covered include planning and scheduling replenishment at sea, principles of maneuvering, emergency procedures, safety procedures, and communications, signaling and lighting.
There are general descriptions of transfer methods and details of specific national rigs and ships to provide sufficient information and establish enough common procedures to allow the planning and safe execution of replenishment at sea between NATO and non-NATO vessels.
