Abstract: This standard prescribes requirements for treatment, painting, identification marking and data plates for self-propelled and towed vehicles procured for general nontactical use by the Government.
Special purpose vehicles are exempt from the general provisions of this standard. Acquisition documents should indicate departmental requirements for these vehicles. Intended Use: This standard provides minimum requirements for the treatment, painting, identification markings and data plates for nontactical wheeled vehicles procured by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense.
