description abstractThis specification covers the construction and testing necessary for the manufacture of Multiplexer- Combiner, TD-1234(P)/TTC. This unit is also known as Remote Multiplexer Combiner (RMC) and is one element of the Digital Group Multiplex (DGM) family of cable system equipments developed by the Joint Tactical Command, Control and Communications Agency (JTC3A, formerly TRI-TAC). See 6.1 for intended use of the TD-1234 (P)/TTC. Intended Use: The TD-1234 is a field exposed unit which combines up to eight (8) 16/32 kb/s loop circuits with a group from a TD-1233(P)/TTC Multiplexer and another TD-1234 into an output rate from 128 kb/s to 576 kb/s. It also provides transmission of maintenance orderwire and power feed for loop end instruments (DSVT, DNVT) and for a TD-1233(P)/TTC. At the shelter end, the unit interfaces with the MD-1026(P)/G, Modem, Digital Data, via CX-11230 cable.
