description abstractThis specification establishes the Emergency Egress Lighting Subassembly (EELS) requirements for fixed wing, rotary wing, lighter-than-air, and tilt-rotor aircraft and fixed wing or rotary wing aircraft configured as passenger carrying aircraft.Intended Use: It is intended to install the lighting subassembly in all aircraft in which passengers or crew are not located immediately next to an emergency escape exit or are mobile and may move about the aircraft in flight. Lighting assemblies conforming to this specification are used in military systems subject to extreme environmental conditions. There are no commercial applications for these assemblies.
