This standard does not apply to ride-on, towed, or walk-behind units. This standard does not apply to electrically powered units. This standard shall become effective one year after it is published. NOTE – The units in this standard are given in metric. English units are included in parenthesis for information only. Purpose The purpose of this standard is to establish manufacturer requirements to reduce the risk of injury associated with the use of handheld and backpack internal combustion engine-powered blowers and blower-vacuums. This standard may also be used to measure bystander sound pressure levels at 15 meters (50 feet). | |
