description abstractThis specification covers one type of airdrop extraction force transfer coupling assembly, consisting of an actuatory assembly, latch assembly, link assembly, cable assembly, latch assembly adapter and link assembly adapter.
Cables covered by this specification shall be of the following lengths as specified (see 6.2):
    12 foot (3.66 m) cable     16 foot (4.88 m) cable     20 foot (6.10 m) cable     24 foot (7.32 m) cable     28 foot (8.53 m) cable


Intended Use: The coupling system covered by this specification is used in airdrop of cargo loads to effect transfer of the extraction parachute system force from the function of extracting the load from the aircraft, to that of deployment of the recovery parachute system.
