description abstractThis specification covers the requirements for three classes of knitted nylon stretch type tubular cloth.
The cloth shall be of the following classes, as specified (see 6.2):
    Class 1 -  7.0 ± 0.5 ounces per square yard (interlock)     Class 2 - 10.5 ± 0.5 ounces per square yard (interlock)     Class 3 - 10.0-11.5 ounces per square yard (1×1 rib knit)


Intended Use: The cloth covered by this specification is intended for use as follows: (a) Class 1 cloth is intended for use in the manufacturing of man's field coats. (b) Class 2 cloth is intended for use in the manufacturing of insulating caps for helmet liners. (c) Class 3 cloth is intended for use in the manufacturing of utility coveralls for Navy personnel aboard nuclear type submarines.
