description abstractThe Naval Ship Code is applicable to all naval surface ships, not nuclear powered, which insofar as the Navies wish it to apply to their own ships and vessels, includes all ships belonging to or operated by the armed forces, coastguard or other protection and security department or agency of a State.
The Naval Ship Code is based on and benchmarked against IMO conventions and resolutions (see above), it therefore contains safety related issues that correspond in scope to that which is covered by IMO publications but which reflect the fundamental nature of naval ships. The Naval Ship Code does not include measures specifically designed to address the effects of military attack.
