Abstract

<strong>PREFACE</strong> <br>1. This NATO Allied Medical Publication on <strong>DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF TELECONSULTATION SYSTEMS</strong> has been prepared under the reference of STANAG 2517. Its purpose is to provide the benefits of lessons learned by nations which have already begun the development and fielding of teleconsultation systems to those nations which are just beginning this process. A secondary goal is to provide guidance for standardization of teleconsultation systems to the maximum extent possible, to encourage and enhance the multinational transfer of medical consultation data when that is desirable. <br>2. This Allied Medical Publication is based on the previous STANAG 2517, Edition 3, which was appropriately ratified and promulgated on 9 June 2009. It has been converted to AMEDP format in accordance with guidance found in AAP-3(J). Only minor editorial or typographical changes have been made from that previously promulgated document&#8212;No content has been changed.
